Who doesn’t right? Our health and vitality is our most important possession, without it every aspect of our lives suffer, our career, family, relationships, social life, training, and even the simplest of everyday tasks.

The biggest stress on our health and vitality is what we are poisoning and intoxifying our bodies with, smoking, excessive alcohol and bad food. We are destroying the structure that houses our heart and soul and our vehicle for every physical experience we have.

Two thirds of the average food intake in modern countries consist of fat, sugar and refined flour from processed food. Obesity, heart disease and type 2 diabetes are linked to excessive consumptions of these foods. These types of foods usually provide no nutrients, if two thirds of your diet consists of no nutrients then you are most likely to have a nutritional deficiency which is linked to disease. Consumptions of these foods and the lack of quality nutrients will cause tiredness and fatigue and for the active exerciser this will hinder their progress and affect their health and recovery.

This is what sells because this is what people want to hear but the truth is that nothing good comes easy.

The truth is that if you truly want to make a difference to your health, change your body composition or improve your training or performance in sport or competition then you need to be consistent with your nutrition and training and make it your lifestyle. This doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy some of life’s luxuries and have a social life, it’s about creating a balance. This is what we teach at Scott’s Personal Training.
