I’ve always wanted to get into great shape with low body fat and a muscular physique but I never thought it would realistically be possible, so it was always just a fantasy. I had been living a very unhealthy lifestyle all my life, living off junk food, smoking and drinking every day, and living a party lifestyle. A few bad circumstances happened in my life where I realized I had to make changes to my life otherwise there will probably not be much of a life left. I decided to distance myself from some circle of friends and joined a gym. I had tried joining gyms before but never went ahead with it but this time it was different. It was a scary process and I doubted it many times but I finally managed to push myself to just do it. I wondered around the gym for a few months consistently going multiple times a week but felt a bit lost so I got myself a Personal Trainer. I trained for about a year with this PT which helped with my confidence of being in the gym but I wasn’t changing my body too much and I was getting a lot of injuries. I was watching Scott for a while as he was another Personal Trainer in the gym and I was liking what he was doing with his clients so I asked him to train me.

Scott did a very informative consultation where he taught me about structural health and nutrition and made an in-depth plan which I found very inspiring. Scott’s nutrition plan and carefully planned training methods were making a huge impact on me very quickly. I was generally feeling a lot better, I had more energy and my body was changing and it was showing on our weekly measurements. The nutrition was certainly making a huge difference. Scott helped me to see food as fuel so I stopped seeing it as just something to get pleasure out of and more as essential nutrients to fuel my body to support the training I was doing. I did get frustrated at times and had doubts but Scott was very good at keeping me motivated and coaching me through the difficult times. I’m glad I stuck with it, the pictures speak volumes but they don’t tell the true story because I had already lost over 10kg of fat before we took the first picture.

It took a lot of hard work, dedication and discipline and I’m thankful to Scott for helping me through it. He has changed my life! Not only am I a lot healthier, fitter, stronger and look better but I’m so much more confident in myself. I was still wearing big baggy clothes covering my body even though I had lost a lot of weight and built a good body but I didn’t know any difference. Scott told me that I should get some new clothes but I wasn’t so sure. One day he came into our session with some new sports t-shirts he had bought and said that they were for me, which I was blown away by the gesture. When I tried them on, they were fitted and felt great and my body looked great in them which I wasn’t even aware that I could look this good in clothes. It was from that moment when my confidence really started to change and now I am a completely different person.

I’m really glad I went on this journey with Scott, he is a great coach and I also consider him a good friend and will be forever grateful for what he has helped me achieve he has also taught me Muay Thai boxing!
